What to expect in worship
All are welcome at House of Prayer Lutheran Church! Whether you are new to the Christian faith or searching for a church home, we invite you to join us as we worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am.
Our services last about an hour and offer a variety of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music performed by our various music groups.
If you choose to receive Holy Communion when you worship with us, you'll have the option of choosing between a wafer or a gluten-free wafer. There is a split chalice with red wine and white grape juice. Just indicate to the pastor if you prefer white grape juice. Children or adults who do not wish to receive Holy Communion are encouraged to come forward for a blessing.
During Communion, we will gather around the altar together. Folks may choose to kneel or stand, as they prefer. Both kneeling and standing are holy postures, and we are freed to choose our preference.
On a typical Sunday, you will find many people in the congregation reading lessons, singing, greeting, lighting candles, and serving communion. Our greeters and ushers are there to answer any questions you have, but you are also welcome to ask any member of our congregation should you require help.
It is our hope that worshiping with us will be a meaningful experience for you.
