Music Ministry

House of Prayer is blessed with incredible and dedicated musicians. Worship services regularly include special music such as guest musicians, soloists, choir anthems, bell choir songs, Orf instruments, our Spanish language choir, and even a guest Mariachi band.
Choir rehearsals are every Wednesday, and other rehearsals are coordinated as needed. The Spanish Coro also meets throughout the year, in order to incorporate some Spanish music. If you are a singer, a ringer, or another instrumentalist please contact us. We would love to have you join in our music program! All skill levels are welcome. |

Visitation Team
Our visitation team helps pastor to connect with homebound members through phone calls, short visits, and by bringing folks communion.
Members are trained regularly for this special ministry, which supports the Pastoral Care ministries of this church.

Outreach Team
In order to serve our community, we first need to know our community. Our Outreach Team is devoted to building authentic relationships between the Church and the neighborhood. They do this through meetings with community members, listening sessions, survey work, networking events, and visiting local organizations. This group brings their information to the Church Council and congregation in order to prayerfully guide our ministry opportunities.
Property Team
The Property Team maintains the stewardship of our Church Property. Their work allows us to open our space to the needs of the congregation and neighborhood. Please see the Get Involved section of this page for volunteer opportunities.

Throughout the year, we host many intercultural events, such as our annual fiesta and posada. We also work to make services and events more accessible to Spanish-speakers. Our Spanish Coro practices regularly to prepare songs for worship in Spanish. Our leadership team also meets regularly to plan upcoming events. Every month, we try to incorporate some Spanish and bilingual music into the worship services. Our current project is to develop a monthly Spanish-language healing service. More information about that to come!

Mutual Ministry
Our Mutual Ministry team are the bridge between our staff and our congregation. They provide support, feedback, and show appreciation. They also are responsible for all of our hiring opportunities.
Youth and Family Ministry
One reason we join together to worship in churches is to enjoy Christian fellowship. We join into that fellowship in many ways. At House of Prayer, the young people don't only gather for worship, but for study and fun events as well.
