HOUSE OF PRAYER MINISTRIES
CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILY MINISTRY: Our Children, Youth, and Family Ministry offers programs for a variety of ages, including Sunday School (ages 2-5), Vacation Bible School during the summer, and Triple-G (Godly, Gathering, and Growing, grades 1-9 and their families, offered the second Sunday of every month at 11:45am).
EVANGELISM MINISTRY: The Evangelism Ministry reaches out to each of our members, visitors to our church, and the unchurched. This ministry upholds the Great Commission, given to us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY: The House of Prayer Fellowship Ministry strengthens the relationship among members of the congregation. They facilitate our Lenten soup suppers, Advent potluck, scholarship golf tournament, and other events.
LAY MINISTRY: Our Lay Ministry visits our shut-ins and persons in convalescent homes, works with the Evangelism Ministry, and attends to the needs of our congregation.
THE PROPERTY MINISTRY: The Property Ministry is responsible for the planning, administration, care, maintenance, repair, inventory, replacement, protection, and use of all church property for the congregation.
SOCIAL MINISTRY: Our Social Ministry works with the congregation to foster relationships between the church and the community. This includes serving breakfast at Interfaith Community Services and helping families in need. The quilting group of House of Prayer works all year to create beautiful quilts that are then sent around the world to communities in need through Lutheran World Relief.
STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY: The Stewardship Ministry communicates stewardship awareness to the congregation through the practice of giving through time, talent, and financial gifts.
WORSHIP MINISTRY: The Worship Ministry provides opportunities for everyone to be involved in the worship services. This includes opportunities to volunteer as greeters, ushers, members of the altar guild, acolytes, communion assistants, and readers.
MUSIC MINISTRY: The Music Ministry provides a variety of musical offerings, including a church choir, a seasonal men's and women's choirs, handbells, a world music group, and a worship band. All the music groups work under the direction of the Music Ministry to provide a variety of music for the congregation by using a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music. Everyone is invited to join the choir and handbell group.
